Plasma Pen by Louise Walsh

Non-invasive, non-surgical treatment to eliminate wrinkles, reduce stretch marks, lift brows, tighten skin, and more

Plasma Pen by Louise Walsh

As we age, the scaffolding of our skin deteriorates which causes it to wrinkle and sag. Our dermal layer thins, we produce less and less collagen, we lose laxity and texture and the elastin that underpins our skins elasticity (not least by cross-linking with collagen just like the brackets on a scaffold) begin to wear out, deform, and ‘slide’ over the collagen fibrils. This prevents them from maintaining a solid structure.
Our worldwide #1 cosmetic device and plasma solution delivers completely natural soft-surgery plasma fibroblasting with stunning, long lasting results. With 3 decades in beauty; Plasma Pen by Louise Walsh International is able to significantly tighten, lift, resurface, rejuvenate and regenerate practically any area of the skin. It is a cost-effective and highly compelling alternative to all other medi-esthetic procedures you may know - including injectables, fillers, microneedling, laser, mesotherapy and chemical peels and compliments and even competes with most (if not all) cosmetic surgery procedures.

Plasma Pen

How It Works

Plasma Pen treatment targets fibroblasts, which are collagen- and protein-producing cells in the dermis (the layer just below the outermost skin layer). Fibroblasts help maintain the firmness and tightness of the skin, as well as heal wounds on the skin. Plasma Pen by Louise Walsh creates nitrogen plasma gas. During the treatment, the energy collects on the surface of the barrier, and ionized plasma gas is safely released from about 1mm above the skin. This transfers to the epidermal layer of skin to create superficial trauma and plasma fibroblasts. After a Plasma Pen treatment, the treated area is visibly smoother, fine lines and deeper wrinkles are reduced. Any acne scarring is smoothed. The results are almost instant, and in some cases last up to three years.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Plasma Pen treatment involves cleansing the skin and applying a topical numbing cream to the specific skin area being treated. When the cream takes effect, the designated skin area is treated with the Plasma Pen, creating a precision plasma arc that causes immediate superficial micro-trauma to the upper epidermal layer of the skin. This micro-trauma stimulates the healing process for the creation of new, rejuvenated, tight, and smooth tissue over the next 12 weeks. During this phase, collagen and elastin are produced, plumping the structure of the skin to soften and eliminate lines and wrinkles. The numbing cream will then be removed and a cooling gel will be applied to minimise the tingling and burning sensation.

The Plasma Pen treatment takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the area of the skin being treated.

The small dots from the treatment will scab over and fall off after about one week. As the skin heals over the following weeks, the skin should appear firmer and tighter. Very few clients experience any complications after a Plasma Pen treatment. Our treatments deliver quicker downtimes, faster recovery, and visible results.

ALWAYS keep the skin hydrated and moist. -DO NOT take a hot shower for 3-4 days since this could cause more swelling and prevent the carbon crusts from forming naturally. Avoid shower gels and hair products as these can cause irritation and inflammation. Rinse thoroughly if these products do contact your skin.

Pat dry only and avoid rubbing the treated area. Avoid a hot shower on your face, as well as shower gels or hair products, for the first 3-4 days. Keep the crusts moist by applying small amounts of the Silver Colloidal Gel with Aloe Vera up to 3 times a day, until the carbon crusts have fallen off.

Unlike laser treatment, the interaction of our nitrogen plasma with tissue is non–chromophore dependent. This means that it is not reliant on interacting with
chromophores (the parts of our molecules responsible for color). Instead, we deliver completely predictable and fully controlled energy to the skin’s architecture and we thus avoid the excessive collateral thermal injury which is often associated with ablative and chromophore dependent laser tissue interaction. In further contrast to lasers and ablation; our treatment is completely uniform, it does not damage surrounding tissue and the architecture of the skin remains fully intact immediately after our nitrogen plasma treatment is delivered. There’s also no open wound.
